Thalys is for sale

September 6th, 2010Best of the Web, EuropeI’ve received an unusual newsletter from my favourite train company. Frequent Thalys users must have noticed that their trains have been undergoing a redesign this year. Thalys is now selling its old furniture. And for a good cause! I think this is a fantastic initiative.

Do you get the seats complete with worn upholstery, chewing gum stuck on the underside of the seats, and broken tables too?

I’m sorry you’ve had bad experiences with Thalys Jon, they always have been good to me.
So I guess, you won’t purchase Thalys furniture, then? 0 likes

I’m with John following two and half years of weekly journeys between Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris:- late; filthy toilets; over-priced; over-hyped virtual company sitting over 3 national rail companies (probably doomed because of that).
A great idea badly delivered.
